April 11, 2008:
- Thanks to those who came out for the Cabaret double feature. Das vas erfreulich!! In case you're wondering, we fooled everyone...by NOT playing any April Fool's jokes this past weekend, yay us. We decided to save all the fun for TWO, yes TWO new theme nights planned for you, our Uncoventional Conventionists...
- First we'll be breakin' out the Bud and crankin' up the Kush to bring you the heavenly 420 Blackout Show! 4/19 might not sound like much of a Saturday, but once midnight hits, and 4/20 starts, we'll be creeping on stage like White Widow from a Cannabis Club. Where does the Blackout come in? Well, we'll be performing this special show for you sans picture; that's right, just the soundtrack to play along with. Hell, we might even throw in some Reefer Madness: The Musical, if you're really, really good. And, if you have no idea what this paragraph has been about, please consult www.urbandictionary.com, and then tell us how many tickets you want ;-)
- Next month, in May, we will be bringing back a theme night that has long been a cast and audience member favorite, ROCKY SOUP!!! Here's the idea behind this bemusing spectacle: All of our cast members will join the stage during pre-show, and choose a character out of Columbia's hat. Whichever character's name they pull, they must perform that role ALL night in their REGULAR character's costume. Rocky might be Riff, Magenta might be Frank, WHO KNOWS?! The audience AND the cast will find out that night, so be here on May 10th to watch the craziness go down!!!
- The Lingerie Night pictures are now up, so you can bOmBaRd yOuR mYsPaCe!!11!! Check them out, click here.
- Speaking of MySpace, we have one, and we don't even post crappy self taken pictures that show us in the bathroom mirror, NOT looking at the camera. Ours is legit, and it needs some love, so add us! You can find our page here: http://www.myspace.com/midnight_insanity.

- Wilkommen, mein Herrs und Fraulines. Do not forget that THIS weekend, The Warner Grand will bring to you the Nazi-ish musical stylings of the
fantastic Cabaret!!! Doors open at 7:00pm, with an introduction by Michael York at 7:30pm, followed by the film starting at 8pm. Tickets are $10,
and dressing up is highly encouraged. Costumed patrons can sign up for a Cabaret/Rocky Horror Double-Feature for the combination price of $15.00.
All proceeds go to benefit the Grand Vision Foundation, which means your mullah goes to great stuff for the theater. And you'll be getting out of that
show just in time to turn right back around and come check us out; trust me, you do NOT want to miss the secrets we have in store for April First!!!
For additional event details, click here. For Cabaret/RHPS ticket combo details, click here.
- This past weekend marked the first performance of our newest little T.I.T. (Tranny In Training) Terry, and hot damn was she great!! Welcome to the dysfunctional family, grrrrl. We have been getting tons of applications lately from excited new potential cast members, so don't miss your chance to join in! Check out our Rules Section and if it sounds like something you'd dig, fill out a Cast Application and bring it to the show! We'll give you all of the other lurid details from there
- Are you just chomping at the bit to see if your picture ended up on the Midnight Insanity website? Well don't worry, the cast is, um, extensively previewing the Lingerie Night pictures, and you'll get your chance at them soon. Until then, check out these festive (and by festive, we mean drunk) pictures from our St. Patty's Day show,

- This coming weekend is, of course, LINGERIE NIGHT!!! Which means you ALL have the chance to be the FIRST Mister and Misseses Lingerie Night of Spring 2008. Be there equipped with everything you'll need...
- An ID showing you are 18+
- Lingerie that will cover your naughty bits, which means no g-strings (yes, things have a tendency to fall out)
- NO SHAME!!!
- Just a quick reminder that due to the delicacies of our new historic home, NO props are allowed to be thrown inside of the theater. There are also no food or drinks allowed into the auditorium of the theater, although you can enjoy a tasty beverage next door at Sacred Grounds J

There's no denying that we at Midnight Insanity love us some Irish decadence. So come see OUR pot of gold, and all the colorful rainbows, at our Saint Patrick's Day Show this Saturday, March 15th. There's no telling what the luck of the Irish will bring to us, so you have to be there to find out!!!

Pictures from our *first* Lingerie Night at The Warner Grand can be found here. Remember, Lingerie Night takes place on the LAST Saturday of every month. Bring valid I.D. with proof that you're 18+ and you'll get a chance to strut your stuff for the audience.

If you've been living under a rock for the past two months, you havent heard about our recent mad dash to find a new home!! After celebrating our 20th Anniversary (pics here:
Show #1 and
Show #2) we were informed that we had lost the lease on our floating theater aboard The Queen Mary. In a scramble to find a new location to keep rockin' the fishnets, we attempted a three week run at the beautiful Warner Grand Theater in San Pedro. After a successful stint inside this glorious historic theater, we have received excellent news...
...our stay has been extended, and Midnight Insanity has found a new home!!! We would like to thank The Grand Vision Foundation, the City of San Pedro, and the local vendors for their support, and for giving us a chance to bring Rocky Horror to their community. And, of course, YOU GUYS for showing up, and making this worth doing every fucking week. Now keep doin' it, because we have 900 seats to fill!!!
-
We're still trying to hash out an agreement on parking at the new location. Although there are parking lots available to use, you WILL be towed after 2AM. However, all metered street parking is free overnight; so search for a spot 'cause shlepping across San Pedro in high heels and drag is NOT fun ... trust me, we've tested it on Tim.
-
We've done you guys a favor with this new venue...a real solid. The Warner Grand Theater actually has comfortable (and expensive) seats to sit in. Therefore, we would like to remind you to cover your damn asses. That means no g-strings or anything allowing view of teh nakedness ... no bare ass cheeks on our seats, sucka.
-
That also means that we will NOT be allowing food or drinks into the auditorium of the theater. But don't fret, you can still get your caffeine fix before the show in the lobby, or check out one of our fine friends listed below:

Now that we're back in an actual theater, we have lots more room for you to pass the time and play!! Therefore, we encourage you to show up around 11pm for tickets. Let-in will occur at 11:30pm along with dancing, and pre-show will start at midnight. Its not just about the movie ... its about having the Midnight Insanity experience. And remember regulars, its YOUR responsibility to make sure the Virgins get their money's worth ;-)
-
This is just an FYI since weve been getting this question for some time now
-
...if you are looking for the cast that used to do Rocky at The Art Theater -- thats us.
-
...if youre looking for the cast that defied the odds and continued its run at The Queen Mary, that would also be us.
-
...if youre looking for the ONLY Rocky Horror cast that has been performing in the Long Beach Harbor Area for the past 20 years, then come find us at our NEW venue, The Warner Grand. Dont worry ... we'll be there.
